Vaughan Invisalign - The Invisible Way to Straight Teeth

HOLLYWOOD'S AND VAUGHAN'S SECRET TO BEAUTIFUL SMILES!

Many of the stars that light up the stage and screen have used clear removable aligners called “Invisalign” to straighten their teeth. Katherine Heigl, Justin Bieber and Gisele Bundchen all count their smiles to Invisalign!

Invisalign aligners are worn for 20-22 hours per day and each aligner moves teeth about 0.25 mm. Since the movement is so subtle, the amount of discomfort is minimal. The movements are prescribed by your Vaughan Invisalign specialist and the aligners are manufactured by Align Technology. These aligners are only removed when eating or brushing your teeth providing you with an alternative to unsightly metal braces.

Unlike the traditional metal braces, you can eat relaxed without the worries of breaking brackets or wires. That means that you do not have any dietary restrictions. Cleaning your teeth also is less challenging since you can simply remove aligners to brush your teeth normally.

Another huge benefit is that with no wires there is also is no chance of poking cheeks or irritating lips. This usually leads to fewer visits to the orthodontist since emergency appointments are rare.

If you play contact sports, you can wear your aligners under a properly fitted mouthguard to protect your teeth from being injured during practices or games.

Like these stars, many of you want to have straight beautiful teeth, but do not want to have the nickname “metal mouth”! Invisalign delivers results as good as traditional braces for most cases. The good news is that you do not have to be a “Hollywood Idol” to have Invisalign. The cost of Invisalign is about the same as metal braces and if you have orthodontic insurance, it will also cover Invisalign. More Comfortable, Better Experience at your Vaughan Orthodontist and Thornhill Invisalign Specialist

Today’s orthodontic treatment is unlike that of the past. Perceptions and attitudes about braces have changed over the years, but the goal remains the same – to help each patient achieve a healthy, beautiful smile.

Due to orthodontic innovations such as invisible braces, different types of braces and the ability to change colors during treatment, there are now exciting ways for young patients to customize the appearance of their orthodontic work. Additionally, computer software that predicts a patient’s potential post-treatment appearance helps keep patients motivated to achieve a straight smile.

But don’t just take your Maple Orthodontist's word for it. It’s moms that know best. A majority of mothers surveyed on behalf of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) said that today’s orthodontic options and new technologies made their children’s orthodontic experience more enjoyable. That’s not all, 86 percent of mothers think braces are cooler today than when they were children, and 69 percent also said wearing braces made their children feel cool. In fact, an overwhelming 81 percent said their children’s experience with orthodontic treatment was either positive or extremely positive.

That enthusiasm about today’s orthodontic treatment doesn’t stop with just braces. It also translates straight to the orthodontist’s office. Vaughan and Thornhill's top patient-friendly office provides video games, music and reading materials to help many young patients enjoy their visit. Mothers described the experience of visiting the orthodontist’s office as fun, and 81 percent rated their child’s office experience as positive or extremely positive.

Furthermore, 78 percent of mothers who had braces as a child believe braces are one of the best investments their parents made for them. So, why not make that investment in your child, or even yourself? Our expertise will make you smile. Contact your Vaughan Orthodontist

Vaughan Invisalign - Straightening Teeth without Braces!

Vaughan Orthodontics your Certified Maple Orthodontist and Thornhill Invisalign Provider

Consider Invisalign to get the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted — without braces. A complimentary consultation with your Vaughan Orthodontist can determine if Invisalign is right for you.

What is it?

Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Vaughan Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology and has been proven effective. More than 70% of orthodontists in the US and Canada are certified to treat with Invisalign.

Why would I want it?

Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time in your Vaughan Orthodontist office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

How does it work?

You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week — until they have straightened to the final position your Maple Orthodontist has prescribed. You'll visit your Vaughan Invisalign Specialist about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
